I have a tag to share with you today using Carta Bella's "All Hallow's Eve".  I love this collection!  How can you tell, I keep thinking of another project to create with it!

I used the Skeleton paper for my tag base and cut it out with my Sizzix Tag die.  The skeleton was a little longer than the die, so I kept the skeleton legs and feet on a square, cut the same width as the tag, matted with black cardstock and hung it on the end with chain links. I also die cut the 31 with Sizzix's movers and shapers spider/31 die on the bottom left side. A slit was made along the skeleton arm so I could tuck in the "Warning Toxic" sticker behind it.  All the tag edges and parts were inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress ink.  For the flower, I die cut three flowers (Sizzix Tim Holtz Tattered flower die) and then made an accordion flower which was punched along the edge (Martha Stewart Halloween fence border punch) before I scored it.  I then inked the edges, attached them together with a All Hallow's Eve brad.  My tag was matted with black cardstock, about 1/8" around the edges.  The word, Scary, was cut out from the "Halloween Words" paper and adhered to the bottom of the small square.  To finish off my tag, I added a few stickers, the letter stickers, ribbon, and a bit of chain across my links.

For those of you who are finished with Halloween projects and are getting an early start creating Christmas cards, here's a card made from the "Christmas Day" collection:

This is a fairly simple card, created with paper, stickers and a bit of ribbon. The card base is Carta Bella's cardstock and the Holiday Borders dotted paper is matted with Christmas Day, Snow White and Striped paper.  The yellow printed side of the Ornaments paper was die cut with Sizzix's Scalloped circle Framelits and inked with Forest Green Distress ink. The Santa, Christmas Tree circle, and stars stickers were added, along with the strip of ribbon and bow.  The colors and patterns are beautiful in this line, I hope to make quite a few more cards!

Hope you enjoyed my Carta Bella projects and make sure you visit the other designer's blogs and leave a comment on each one.  We will all be drawing a name from the comment section on our blogs, so don't forget to check in on October 26th to see if you are a winner!  Who wouldn't like a Carta Bella Paper collection of their choice?!

  15. You know, I do not think I have seen a Carta Bella collection that I didn't love! And these two are no exception. That Halloween tag is great, very non-trad Halloween colors. And the Christmas card is very much an old-fashioned Christmas type of project.

  32. Wow! Love both the Halloween tag and the Christmas card! Love how creative you were when your tag die wasn't long enough for the whole skeleton, how fantastic does it look that you added the extra with chains!! Works so perfectly, sometimes these things are just meant to be lol! Also, that flower is amazing, who knew a fence punch could make such a difference to a flower, it's almost metal looking.
