I don't know....

where this month went!  It's already nearing the end, and I think this is the first day I've had off that I don't have to go anywhere or have a long list of things I have to do.  Well, maybe there are things I should be doing, but they can wait until tomorrow.  I had signed up for Tim Holtz's Creative Chemistry online class and have watched the videos everyday, but haven't had a chance to play.  So, with my morning coffee and the house to myself, I retreated to my craft room.  My husband is out of town for a couple of days...you know what that means...a lot of scrapbook time and cooking meals is not a priority!  I was inspired by the colors and techniques he used in one of the tags, so this is my Day 7 tag:

The background is Evergreen Bough Distress ink (This is one of my favorites-it's one of his seasonal three pack inks) and various brown distress inks with clear embossing powder.  I also used Pink Paislee's new line, "Spring Jubilee" paper, rub-ons, and chipboard.  The doily is  Sizzix's Tim Holtz on the edge Tattered Doily.  The music stamp is from Glitz.  I guess I should now go back to the beginning and create tags from the previous days!
I don't think it's too late to register for this class (you have a lifetime access), there is lots of info and techniques using all the different inks, sprays, powders, and other mediums, that Tim uses.

Also, here's a birthday card I made last week:

I used papers, chipboard, heart button and flowers from Prima's new "Almanac" collection,  The letters are also from Prima.  For the base of the card and the pink embossed diecut, I used Tim Holtz Kraft-Core cardstock.  I've been using this cardstock more and more, love the colors and the look when it's been distressed.  The house and tree border was created using a Memory Box die called Country Landscape.  After I cut it out, it was embossed with the lace border from a Sizzix Valentine & Borders embossing folder.  The large brad was from My Mind's Eye.
I'm off to my messy room to create more tags!  Have a great week!

Beautiful tag and card Jan. I love the way you distress the tag and then used the clear embossing powder. I also signed up for the Tim Holtz Class...haven't had a chance to watch any of them yet - except the first one. Hope all is well with you!
