HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Wishing you all a happy halloween and hope you have a spooktacular evening. Here's a few projects to share with you!  

This frightful tag is made with Tim Holtz Metallic Kraft Core cardstock and his new Halloween thinlits dies.

I die cut 2 tags from the Tim Holtz Tag (656938) Sizzix die and his silver Metallic cardstock.  With one of the tags, I die-cut different words from the Tim Holtz Halloween Block Words, trying to cover the entire tag.  The Monster Thinlits die was used for my 3-D monster.  It was also die-cut using the Metallic cardstock.  I sanded the edges and inked with Ground Espresso Distress Ink, then assembled.

I glued the tag with the words cut out on top of the plain tag with Ranger's Matte Medium. The tag then was lightly sanded after the glue had dried.  I applied Ground Espresso Distress paint, waited for a bit, then wiped off the excess, leaving some in the recessed areas.  Matte this on black cardstock and trim slightly larger than the tag.

Pop dot the Monster to the tag and add in ribbon, charms.

This wreath was made using the Tim Holtz Coffins Bigz Die, Fall Foliage Thinlits Die Set, Bird Branch Bigz Die (I just cut off the bird and used the branch) and the Tattered Leaves Bigz die.  I cut out a round ring from a sheet of foam core by tracing a a circle and a smaller circle on the inside.  This was my base.  Next I used a hot glue gun and adhered the branches and leaves.  The coffins were assembled and adhered next.  I just added a wire for a hanger, a bow, charms, and a chipboard Happy Halloween.  My papers that I used for the coffins were from Authentique's collection, "Moonlit" and the chipboard piece was from the My Mind's Eye collection, "Something Wicked". The paper for the leaves were from various paper collections.

Our kits this month included papers from Carta Bella, Tim Holtz Gothic Industrious Stickers, Wicked Alpha Parts, cardstock and a few other embellishments.

I die-cut my pumpkins out with the Tim Holtz Jack-O-Lantern Bigz die and the included burlap piece.    I used the Tim Holtz Undertaker stamp set and distress paint on my black background paper.  The little halloween cutouts were hand cut from my patterned paper and used on my garland.

Well, that's the last of my halloween projects for this year.  I loved all the different collections this year and enjoyed creating with them!  How about you?  It's on to Christmas and Winter themes now!

LAYOUTS, LAYOUTS, AND MORE LAYOUTS!

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've shared some layouts here. This is a rather long post, I have more to share than I thought!  I am loving the collections from Blue Fern Studios.  The quality of their paper is amazing and the colours are so nice.  The papers used with this layout are from their Deja' Vu collection.

The Floral Medley chipboard frame is also from Blue Fern and I just used Stampendous Chunky White and Shabby White embossing enamel to cover it.  To get a thicker coat, I apply it a couple of times.  The teacup is a Sizzix Tim Holtz die (660234) and the Wave (lattice looking) die is 660027.  I used the Tattered Lace Sun Gem bird die(d741) which I also embossed, this time with Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powders.  This bird die is beautiful, it comes in three parts so you can choose if you want the long tail feathers and extra wing part.  My flowers are from Petaloo, their velvet collection.  As I'm looking at this layout, I forgot that I tried something different with my Tim Holtz block Friendship Word die (660213), the word "moments".  I hopefully can remember what it was!  I used one of his Embossing Diffusers and placed it so the top half of my word wouldn't cut out on the patterned paper.  I then cut out the word on the dark purple shimmer cardstock and used the piece with the negative space.  I then placed the light purple die-cut piece into the negative space and trimmed the edges.  Hopefully that made sense to you!  A few hand cut paper pieces finished off my layout.
This photo is of my grandmother when she was a young mother, not sure who took it, my grandfather maybe?  I love this photo, I wonder what she was thinking or if she was aware her photo was being taken.

This one was from my March kit, featuring Authentique's collection, Classique Beauty.  Loved this yellow and dark grey combination.  There was a Sizzix Tim Holtz bee die-cut in the kit which I embossed with Wendy Vecchi's Buttercup embossing powder.  I put some Prima Micro Beads on it while still hot and then reheat it again.  I also used Tim Holtz Scribbles & Splats (660222) Thinlits die (also embossed and micro beads), Handwritten Thinlits die (the word, Beautiful) and the Limitations Framelits die w/stamp (660189) butterfly set.  I stamped the butterfly with Ranger's Glacier White Pigment ink on vellum, embossed it with clear embossing powder, then coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Markers.  My cup rings and splatters (THS009 Splatters stencil) was also embossed with the Wendy Vecchi Buttercup powder.  The rhinestone flourish was painted with yellow paint.

This is my future daughter-in-law.  Hint, hint, son of mine!!  This was my April kit, featuring Kaisercraft's "All That Glitters" collection.  I machine stitched different shapes on my background paper, before I applied gesso, then different mediums.  I think I used gelatos and Distress sprays here.
The doily is a Tim Holtz (660244) embossing folder which, after embossing I cut out and applied IndigoBlu Megaflakes (gilding flakes), sorry not sure which colour. I also used the Tim Holtz (659573) Spring Greenery Decorative Strip die with my Prima and hand cut flowers.

Here's my other daughter, my sweet little Roxy.  No, I did not torture the poor thing, dressing her up.  I haven't done it in awhile, but she loves dressing up.  One time she went into the closet and found her Halloween spider costume that was in a box, and brought it to me.  She whined until I put it on her and she pranced around the house for the longest time.  Did I mention, she doesn't think she's a dog.  This was her in a fairy costume, perfect for May's kit, which was full of Prima's Butterfly collection.
I used Prima's Clear Texture Paste that was lightly tinted with mica powder and a coffee ring stencil (THS009 Splatters).  While the paste was still wet, I applied Prima sequins, Prills, and Prima Mica flakes.   Embossing powder (Lindy's Stamp Gang) and sequins were applied to the ends of the feathers (part of the Prima embellishment Pack).  My flowers were die-cut from the Tim Holtz Decorative Tattered Flower Garland die(657824) and patterned paper.  My "fairy time" word was die-cut using Tim Holtz Handwritten Thinlits dies (Journey 660217 and Love 660218).  These words were created by cutting apart word dies that had those letters, and making my own words.

My last layout I'm sharing is from Urban's June kit:

This one was the chosen layout for the June kit and sold with full instructions.  Sorry, you had to buy the kit to get them!!  Marion Smith had some amazing collections this spring, and this "Timekeeper" one was one of my favourites.  The lightbulbs and rings are chipboard pieces from Blue Fern Studios which were embossed with Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powders.  I used Tim Holtz's Mixed Media  Thinlits die 660220 for the pieces with holes and his Core'dinations Metallic Kraft Cardstock.  I also embossed some metallic papers with his Globes (660241) texture fade folder and embossed the edge.

MONTHLY CHALLENGE LAYOUTS

Morning everyone!  I was going to share my February Urban Scrapbook Design Team monthly challenge layout with you and realized I did not share last month's.  I think January was just a blur for me, that horrible cold I got lasted for almost the entire month.  So here are my layouts:

This is my February layout of my mother-in-law and Elvis.  Actually it's my father-in-law, but doesn't he look like him?  In this kit, the papers are from the Kiss, Kiss collection by Crate Paper.  I used the heart and paint splat die from Sizzix's new Tim Holtz 660222 Scribbles & Splat thinlits set.  You can't really see the paint splat, it's under the hearts and I've embossed it with the Stampendous Gold Spoonful of embossing powder & elements. The black and gold dot paper was die-cut with Sizzix's Tim Holtz 660220, Mixed Media Thinlits set. There's a little "love" on top of my ribbon, which is also a new Tim Holtz thinlits die, from the set "Handwritten Love" 660218.  I am loving these three new thinlits sets, I could use them on everything! They should be in the store any day now. We had some printed acrylic square pieces in the kit, which I cut out the design part and and used that on my layout.  There's also some acrylic page pockets in the kit, which my journaled paper is in, along with paper heart confetti.

Here's my January layout:

I think we all fell in love with this BoBunny collection, "Altitude" that was in our kits.  The colours are so beautiful and when all of our layouts were displayed on the wall, they looked amazing.  I used a word stamp with Distress Paint first, then a Memory Box stencil with Wendy Vecchi Crackle Embossing Paste.  The bare trees were cut out by hand and my snowflakes were die-cut from Sizzix's Tim Holtz Paper Snowflakes Thinlit set (660059) and Stacked Snowflakes (660052) Bigz die.  There was glitter paper which I cut out snowflakes with and alcohol inked them in random areas.  The winter wonderland is also a Tim Holtz thinlit die from the set, Script Holiday Words (660058).  I have been asked a few times how I did the scrabble tile word snow and it's reflection.  It was on one of the patterned papers (Bundled) and I just cut out each tile and adhered it to my page.

Well,  I hope to get caught up with my projects, that was supposed to be my goal this year.  I always seem to be late, and rushing to finish.  It isn't helping when it's been really busy at the store, some long hours trying to keep up with orders coming in.  I was hoping some of our new Tim Holtz dies would be today, but it looks like customs is holding things up again.  Why is it always the stuff we REALLY are waiting for?

But we did get in yesterday, the most amazing paper.  Some of it is like a velvet metallic, and bright rich colours. Brushed metallic, pearlized, chalk paper, ...you have to see it.  Oh boy, it's so hard to take home a pay check!

Urban Scrapbook November Monthly Challenge

I can't believe November is almost half over!  It's seems like it was just Halloween.  Here is my Urban Scrapbook's November Monthly Challenge layout:

It's sad, how in a few short months, life has changed so much for my parents.  We were being silly taking photos with my phone in August and since then, my dad's health has declined so much.  He had to be placed in an extended care centre last week and most of the time I don't think he knows who we are.  It's been hard on my mom and the rest of our family, just getting used to this outgoing and independent person disappearing.  It's those spontaneous and silly photos I will cherish the most, remembering the laughs and good times.

The papers and embellishments in the kit were from Simple Stories Legacy collection.  I used Wendy Vecchi's Crackle paint (love this crackle paint!), Prima's Stone Wall Stencil, Tim Holtz Distress Stain Sprays.

Urban Scrapbook September Layout

I can't believe it's already September!  As much as I love fall, I'm not ready for it.  We've had a beautiful hot summer, I would just like a month more.  I think because our last winter dragged on forever, just the thought of it arriving before we know it, makes me cringe!  With September, comes the fall leaves and that's the feature of my Urban Scrapbook September Layout Challenge:

Our layouts included Papers, and journaling cards from We R Memory Keeper's line, Indian Summer.  Also in each kit is one of Sizzix's Tim Holtz ShadowPress Debossing folders.  I had the "hello" one in mine.  For my leaves, I used Sizzix's new Tim Holz Layered Leaf w/texture fade.  I am loving these bigz dies that come with it's own texture fade (embossing folder) and this one is going to be a big favourite!  They haven't arrived at the store yet, but should be in the next week or two (I hope).  I cut one out of plastic and used it as a stencil on my background paper first.  I used sprays and also my Tim Holtz Distress Marker Spritzer.  I'm starting to use this spritzer more and more, I love the control I have where I want the fine spray.  My other leaves were cut out of the patterned paper then inked.  There was burlap ribbon in the kit, which I sprayed and pressed into my paper, and also leather trim, metal feather, Tim Holtz banner die-cuts, and American Crafts letters.

Urban Scrapbook Monthly Challenge

Can you believe it's August 1st. already?!  I must say though, this was probably the hottest July I think we've had for a long time.  When I left my air-conditioned work (Urban Scrapbook) the other day, my car registered the temperature outside at 36C!  Yikes!
And speaking of Urban Scrapbook, here is my monthly Design Team Challenge layout:

In our kits, we had papers, stickers and brads from the BoBunny collection, Lemonade Stand, Prima covered wire, Chalk Ink, Ranger Glossy Paper, and cardstock.  I used Sizzix's Tim Holtz Butterfly Frenzy Decorative Strip,  Layered Butterfly, and an oldie but goodie, Paper Rosettes.  With the wire, I made flowers and two words.  A helpful hint when shaping your wire words; is write on a piece of paper your word that you want to create.  Use that as a guideline for shaping the wire.   I printed my photo on the glossy paper twice, and then die-cut.  I also die-cut the butterfly out of patterned paper, and then adhered the three layers together in the middle.  Love the papers in this collection!  Hope you check out what the other designers came up with at Urban, they all are amazing!

Urban Scrapbook Monthly Challenge Kit

Hi everyone, it's that time again, Urban Scrapbook's Monthly Layout challenge!  This month our kits were filled with paper goodness from Heidi Swapp, embellishments, gelatos, and even a stencil!  Here's my layout:

I have a few other projects to share, but it will have to wait for another day.  I haven't taken photos yet, (that would help, wouldn't it!), just haven't had a chance.  The weather has been so nice here, so I have been spending a lot of time in the yard, working on my flower beds.  They have been a bit of a disaster,  we now have not one, but two dogs who like to charge through them!  They have been foraging in the beds, looking for peanuts that the Blue Jays have hidden.  I can always tell what they've been up to, both their noses are full of dirt!

June's Monthly Layout Kit

Hi everyone, just sharing my June layout from Urban Scrapbook's monthly layout challenge.  This month our challenge was to scrapbook about fathers.  Here's mine:

This is my husband and younger son golfing at Jasper Park lodge golf course.  My husband loves golfing, and he is thrilled our son shares the same love for it.  When on holidays, they always tried to fit in a game or two and this course was so beautiful, even I tagged along to be their golf cart driver and photographer!

The papers in our kit are from Graphic 45's Good Ol' Sport Collection.  I started off with inking, using my Tim Holtz Speckles and Splatters stencils on my background paper.  Then, using Wendy Vecchi Transparent Embossing Paste that was tinted with Dylusions Ground Coffee and Chopped Pesto sprays, I applied that on my paper with the Tim Holtz Chevron and Arrows stencils.

The large wood ATC card in the center is from Prima.  Using my Tim Holtz Crocodile stencil, I first sprayed Dylusions Ground Coffee on it and then applied embossing ink with the Ranger Embossing Dabber, before applying embossing powders from Stampendous.  There is adhesive backed cork in the kit, and I die-cut my Sizzix Tarnished Trophy from that and the word, Golf.  The trophy was also sprayed with Dylusions Ground Coffee.  I painted my Tim Holtz framed alpha parts.  The small letters were die-cut from Sizzix's Tim Holtz Typeset die.  The pocket watch is also from Prima.
Everything is included in the kit except my stencils, dies, embossing paste, inks, paint and sprays that I used.  They are for sale in Urban Scrapbook until sold out (which is usually pretty fast!).

Remembering Mom

It's already May, and that means it's time for Urban Scrapbook's monthly challenge.  This month our layouts were about celebrating Mothers.  I chose to celebrate my mother-in-law, Gwyneth, who unfortunately passed away last October from pancreatic cancer.  Here's mine:

The monthly kits are filled with Basic Grey's Mon Ami  collection papers, Basic Grey chipboard Scrabble letters, ribbons, and Prima wood and resin embellishments.  To see the other Urban Design Team layouts, visit Urban's blog here.

Now for a bit of news; me being a proud mom, I have to share.  My daughter Cassandra is going to be on the Canadian Home Shopping Network on Thursday, May 8th.  For those of you who followed her on Fashion Star last year, she's back with a new collection of clothes and will be selling them on Thursday.  On May 13th, she will be on the American shopping channel, ShopHQ.  I know she's on three times on Thursday, but I'm not sure how many on May 13th.  Should be fun to watch!

Escape from Winter

I haven't been around much this month, can't believe it's almost May!  I took a much needed break and joined my husband while he made client calls on Vancouver Island.  I really needed to get away from this terrible winter weather!  I wasn't sorry to say goodbye to the snow as we flew over the mountains. Hope you don't mind, but I thought I'd show a few photos for those of you who have never been on the island.

It is so nice to know that just a short 1 1/2 hour flight and you are surrounded by green instead of white.

We lived briefly in Campbell River, many years ago, but I always like to visit friends at least once a year.  Our hotel we usually stay in closed, so we decided to stay in a small resort where we have gone for dinner at their restaurant(amazing food).  This is what it looks like when you drive in!  There are little cabins throughout the trees, it's so peaceful and beautiful.  It gets even better!

There was a company that had rented the entire place for the weekend (lucky people!) except for the ocean front cabin which they gave us.  They took us down to our cabin in a golf cart as there was just this path and it was quite steep to take our suitcases.

This was our view from our deck.  The cabin itself had windows all across the front facing the ocean, a hot tub on the deck, a stone fireplace inside.  I think I could have stayed there for a lot longer than three days!  Our first morning we saw a couple of whales, sea lions, sea otters, and bald eagles, all in an hour.

We had a bit of rain and cloud, but on the Sunday it was beautiful.  Our friend's son took us all out fishing in his boat.

Well, the guys just fished and we were supposed to pay attention if the boat needed steering.  We were too busy soaking up the sun and catching up, so there were a few times we seemed to be going in circles!  Oops!
It went by too fast, and as much as I didn't want to leave my cosy cabin, it was time to move on.  Hopefully I'm lucky enough to stay there (Dolphin's Resort) next time we visit.

Making our way south and stopping at a few of our favourite places, our trip ended in Victoria, one of my favourite cities.  We always stay at the Victoria Regent which doesn't look like much from the front of the building, but is right on the water with amazing views and is right downtown.  All the rooms are actually apartments, which some people have purchased and live in.

A few blocks down, is Chinatown.  The streets were all in bloom.

There are some really old narrow alleys or streets that have shops with bright coloured doors. This one is Fan Tan Alley. You never know where you will end up!

And of course there's the beautiful Empress Hotel.  My daughter and I stayed there once when she ran a marathon in Victoria.  It's a beautiful old hotel.  At the bottom of the photo is the inner harbour walk, which is filled with street performers, artists, and food vendors during the summer.

I could never go to the island without visiting my favourite place, Butchart Gardens.  The trees were in bloom, and all the spring flowers and bushes.

There were tulips and daffodils everywhere!

This is the Japanese garden section.  

I don't think I could ever get tired of going here.

Heading back into Victoria, we stopped and walked along this ocean walk.  It's a leash free dog park!  I would love to walk our dog here everyday!

The rest of our trip was filled with eating (the restaurants are amazing), shopping, walking, checking out the antique shops, more eating, and just enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Before we knew it, it was time to head back home.  Thank goodness all the snow that Edmonton received while we were gone, had melted.

This is turning out to be a long post.  I guess I should share a couple of projects for those of you that came for some scrapbook inspiration! 

Here's my Urban Scrapbook Design Team Challenge Layout for April:

This month, our kits included a challenge to use gelatos on our layout.  The papers were from Maggie Holme's Styleboard collection.  For the larger circles, I die-cut different sizes of circles out of a sheet of thin plastic with Sizzix's Circle Framelit dies and used that as a stencil.  I applied my gelatos on the inside and diluted with a water brush.  I also took a small piece from my gelato stick, placed it in an empty mister bottle, added water and mixed into a liquid spray.  The honeycomb die cuts were made from Tim Holtz's new Honeycomb Frameworks die.  The stamp I used(writing) was from the Tim Holtz Nature Walk stamp collection.

And to end my post, here's a tag I did using inspiration from Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2014, January tag.  I find, after being away from my scrapbooking for awhile, I need something small to get me back into it and making a tag is just the thing for me:

I used Tim Holtz Stash Motif Resist paper for my base.  This one has the honeycomb resist.  Love this one!  The other products I used were; his Eye Chart Stencil, Botanical Rub-ons, Ephemera pack, Framed Alpha Parts, Monocle, key, CMS 180 Bird Feather stamp, and adhesive foil paper.  Instead of the watch, which was used in Tim's tag, I used Sizzix's Tim Holtz Armor Shield, embossed with his new Woodgrain Texture Fade.  I wanted more of a monocromatic look, so I used Distress Ink, Paints, Stains, Pens, in the Iced Spruce, Weathered Wood and Evergreen Bough shades.  There might be a bit of Pumice Stone and Frayed Burlap in there too!  My bird stamp was coloured with Distress markers and blended with a water pen, then cut out and pop-dotted to my tag.  If you are looking for inspiration, check out Tim's 12 tags of 2014, there are lots of techniques and great ideas.

Roxy Love

It's that time again for Urban Scrapbook's Monthly Kit Challenge.  Here's my February layout:

This month's kit is filled mainly with papers and embellishments from the My Mind's Eye collection, Lost and Found - Heirloom.  There was also a Jillibean Soup kraft chevron placement, which I used as a stencil.  My medium was Wendy Vecchi's Translucent Embossing Paste, coloured with Luminarte's Primary Elements.  These Primary Elements are high quality pigment powders blended with mica that can be added into any liquid medium.  I used a tiny amount(about the size of a small glue dot) with my paste and still achieved this vibrant colour.  My spray was Mister Huey's Sugar Plum.  The wood paper clip piece was embossed with Lindy's embossing powder and the other wood hand piece was stamped.

My muppet, Roxy looked a little scruffy here!  It was just before her beauty parlour day.  She loves her groomer so much, that she begs to sit on her lap while she's grooming other dogs.  I wonder what the other dogs think of that?!

January Monthly Challenge

It's time again for Urban Scrapbook's Monthly Challenge kit.  January's kit is filled with papers from BoBunny's collection, Woodland Winter, some great embellishments, and even a stencil.  Here's my layout:

I used my snowflake stencil and embossing dauber to emboss my blue snowflakes with Lindy's embossing powder.  My corrugated snowflakes and letters were die-cut with Sizzix's Snowflake #2 , Snowflake #3, Snowflake Border, and WordPlay Alphabet.  My snowflakes and letters were sprayed with Lindy's Starburst sprays and Mister Huey's Opaque White.

Urban's November Layout

Hi everyone,  it's that time again for Urban Scrapbook's monthly Design Team Challenge.

This month our kits included paper and embellishments from Echo Park's line called, "Reflections" designed by Lori Whitlock.  Love this collection, and they have added a Christmas line by Lori this year too.

I had a bit of fun playing with my Lindy's sprays and embossing powders and also Viva's Ferro Metallic paste on the background.

  

I used my Sizzix Christmas Cardinal Die for the bird, I just cut off the pointed part of his head.  It was cut from the burgundy cardstock and embossed with Lindy's Midnight Copper Obsidian embossing powder and while still hot, a rubber stamp pressed into the bird's body.  I highlighted a few areas with Viva Gold Copper paste. Some hand-cut leaves and dragonfly from patterned paper, my stamped and embossed wood circle, wood altered frames, a altered embossed burlap flower, and buttons were added.  The stencils I used were from Prima and Tim Holtz.

My husband and I were in Vancouver this summer and decided to spend the day at the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.  I am a little afraid of heights but I decided to conquer my fear!  I didn't do too bad, even walked across the cliff walk!  The frame in my photo is actually a giant frame that everyone posed behind for photos.  I remember going there once as a kid and being terrified, so I'm glad I went again.  I would highly recommend it if you are ever in Vancouver!

Halloween Projects

This month at Urban Scrapbook, our theme was Halloween for the October challenge.  I created this layout on a wood canvas with my kit:

It looks pretty flat from this angle, but there's a lot of dimension here.  I used Sizzix's Brenda Walton Shadow box die for the striped box and filled it with apothecary bottles and chipboard embellishments.

I pop dotted the skeleton chipboard die cut and adhered his arm to the tulle ribbon, so it looks like he's carrying the box.

My sides of the wood canvas were quite wide, so I covered them with Tim Holtz black Shattered card stock, then crackled with clear crackle paint, and to highlight the cracks, added Viva Gold paint.
The orange border was cut from one of my patterned papers.  This collection of papers and embellishments were from My Minds Eye.

I've had this Brenda Walton ballroom slipper die for awhile, but just haven't had a chance to use it.  I decided to make a halloween slipper.  I had so much fun making this, I can see I'm going to be making a few more!

It's so easy, just die cut the shoe parts and paste together.  I added a Tim Holtz Sizzix Mini Rosette die to the top of the shoe, with a Tim Holtz halloween charm.  On the heel of the shoe is a section of Sizzix's Ironwork Gate Sizzlit die.  The paper is from Teresa Collins.

And lastly, I just wanted to share a tag I made from Tim Holtz's Creative Chemistry 102 Online class.  It's the only one I've managed to complete so far, the Eroded Metallic Technique and Coloured Crackle. The leaves are Sizzix's Tim Holtz Leaf Blueprint die & Stamp Set.  If you haven't taken any of his classes, I highly recommend them.  You learn so much about his products and how to use them.

September's Monthly Challenge

It's time for Urban Scrapbook's September Design Team Monthly Challenge!  This month the paper collection in the kit was Kaisercraft's Sweet Pea.

I had just completed a layout with this same collection, so I thought I would also use photos of my Grandmother, mom and her sister Doreen, as I had done in the previous one.  In the kit, there is a sheet of vellum, which I die-cut with Sizzix's Prima flower die, Memphis.

After I die-cut the flower pieces, I sprayed with Lindy's flat Fabio Spray and embossed random edges with Stampendous Embossing powder.  Love how this flower turned out!

This layout is beautiful. Excellent creative use of the canister. The label is awesome, it looks great, the clear label gives the canister an unusual look. The embossing and painting are excellent texture. The butterflies and flowers, love those. Thank you for sharing this beautiful project and the great tutorial. This is visual inspiration!
